Manje Lakay - Bridgeport

I stopped in yesterday evening to try this place as I always see it on my way home. I ordered a medium griot with brown rice and I was severely underwhelmed. The pork was mostly bone fat with a bland flavor and the rice was hard as if they left it sitting out all day. I paid with cash and had to wait 10 minutes while they asked customers for change. How can you run a business with no cash in the register to give back? Very disappointed, especially since I heard such great reviews about this place. You can have a nice aesthetic but that’s not all that matters when it comes to having a restaurant.

It was my first time trying it.the customer was good was and presentation good as well. I must say I enjoy it. The price is reasonable I will definitely go back

This place is DIRTY!!!! The floor, the tables, the chairs; I can only imagine what the kitchen and the bathroom looks like.The person at the counter acted as if she were doing us a favor by getting our order, I literally walked away!!!And btw I could not hear anything she said because the music was so LOUD, and she could not explain anything about the food on display!!!!This is a NEW restaurant -Message to the owners: Train your people to do what you want your image to be; or else your restaurant might perish ??‍

Manje Lakay Was such a big help providing the food for my mom 60th birthday party on Saturday, March 5, 2022 wife and husband are very polite and very sweet the husband delivered the food set everything up for me I don’t have to worry about anything I would recommend anyone to pick up some food from the restaurant Or have them cater your party

This food is 100% amazing like this is the first Haitian restaurant I’ve been too where the food is already prepared and is fresh. It eliminates you having to wait the normal 15-20 minutes until the griot or pwason is done. If your in the area please check out their food. You will not regret it
