As a Nashville girl visiting for work, I stumbled upon this charming AUTHENTIC Italian restaurant and I can't recommend it enough. You absolutely have to try the cake, which is made in-house by the owner. I opted for the white chocolate cake with almond and coconut to go, and I had to fight the urge to devour it all in my hotel room at once. It's not overly sweet; rather, it's creamy, rich, and dense with toasted almond flavors. It truly made my three-day work trip worthwhile. I also enjoyed the red snapper with mussels and clams, which was fantastic, but I was so full after starting with grilled octopus, calamari, and an antipasto. Overall, I give it a solid 10/10—definitely check this place out!

They kindly inform guests that their dishes take time to prepare, so it's best to be patient as you wait for your meal to arrive hot and flavorful—trust me, it will be worth it. The wait staff is always attentive and ready to meet your needs. Tucked away on River Road in Shelton, CT, this charming restaurant has quickly become a favorite of mine, even though it’s two towns away from where I live. I've been bringing friends along for dinner, and they all share my enthusiasm for this spot. If you're not in the mood to dine in, they offer takeout as well, which is how I first experienced La Scogliera during the pandemic. The food arrived still nice and hot when I got home. I highly recommend La Scogliera to anyone seeking a wonderful dining experience where you can enjoy a quiet conversation over dinner, away from the frantic pace of chain restaurants. The food here is incredible! The family that runs the restaurant is very kind, and the service is highly professional. It truly offers authentic Italian cuisine. I’m visiting from Florida, and a family member suggested this place. It was the best recommendation I could have hoped for!

Wonderfully authentic Italian restaurant. La Scogliera is neatly appointed with a warm welcoming family environment. The owners are from Calabria who prepare fresh pasta dishes with many homemade pasta choices. The staff members are extremely friendly and jovial which compliments the vibe of the restaurant itself. My wife and I, being Italians ourselves, were extremely impressed with the quality, taste, and presentation of the food that was prepared for us. The Calamari fra diavolo was the most delicious calamari that my wife and I have ever had in any restaurant. I would hands down recommend La Scogliera to all of my family and friends.
