Located next door to the Chateau de Livet, this charming place is a great place for quick meal while visiting. Best of all, it is also a B&B that is very well appointed and a classic place to stay overnight (book in advance). Great owners, very welcoming and they take care of their guests quite well.
We walked the short distance from the chateau next door and had a lovely welcome. We chose a table outside with fab views across the moat to the chateau. There was gentle music being played which added to the atmosphere. The owner came out with the menu and took our drinks order. He was very chatty and spoke good english and engaged with my two teenage daughters encouraging them to speak a little french! We learned that he lived across the road in the vicarage. Nothing was rushed and was very relaxed and friendly which we loved. There was lots to choose from on the menu, lots of crepes and main course meals along with a long list of various teas. There was coffee, hot chocolate, beers wines and ciders as well as soft drinks. My husband and daughters chose a crepe with ice cream whist I chose the chestnut puree with chantilly cream. All washed down with coke and a couple of beers! The prices were very reasonable, four crepes and four drinks came to nearly 40 euros. They take cash or cheque as payment by card is not accepted. You will not be disapointed by a visit here, a traditional creperie with great service, atmosphere and food, what more could you want???
