At the entrance we found an almost empty café and wanted to sit at a free table in the front area. Since there was a reservation sign at each table, we asked the man behind the counter (clearly boss) whether we could sit down at a table that we liked. However, this should be kept free for an imaginary 5 group of persons arriving whenever possible. To our question whether you could put the other tables together if a 5 group of people were to come, we were told: “This is our living room”. The concept of the cafe is not quite obvious to welcome the customers to choose their own table in an empty room, to then supply them with food and drink in a pleasant atmosphere, which they will pay accordingly, it is definitely not.
On a visit to my son we came here Saturday to lunch and Sunday for coffee here. It is very cozy and the food is very tasty and lovingly dressed. My son and his partner live vegan. They were also enthusiastic! Absolute tip was the cake on Sunday. All made by yourself! Thank you.
We had reserved for a smaller group for a Sunday. Since we do not come from Bremerhaven, we have reserved reviews exclusively on the basis of the Tripadvisor. The expectation was therefore quite high. However, these expectations were exceeded. The atmosphere is unique, the cappuccino was actually the best I drank outside of Italy. The homemade cake is a poem. In addition, we were very friendly, even warm, served. We found it a bit bad that we had only a good hour, we would have stayed longer. But we will definitely come back
Unfortunately, during our stay we did not manage to eat through the map of Grete’s Café. There were so many extremely tasty offers for vegans and gluten-free eaters. A huge compliment to the cooking artists from Fischkai 57!!! We're coming back!
Sit directly on the water, with delicious coffee and self-baked cake. A real secret tip, especially for art lovers.
