It should be a memory visit for him. We were dismissed only for house guests, coffee and ice would have gone out. That was very sad and shameful, as it became clear that we did not want to have. Especially since my father had left the car on the floor, which is not quite easy for him. A sad and involuntary experience!
The restaurant is located in the old town on the mountain, on a quiet place away from tourist. from the hall and veranda you have an excellent view of the local wine region. the eye will enjoy both during the day and evening, although the sunset itself is not visible here.The restaurant itself is not very bad, but there is not enough private sphere - there are many seats in the community room. the furniture as well as the room itself are quite old and do not bring any color. (there are places where this is the most important chip, but here it is not about this location). the kitchen is located on the level. balanced menu. a very good selection of wines, both simple and more demanding visitors. here they help with advice and recommendations for the court they are interested in. the concrete lies on the detension and the pleasure of eating. beautiful punctual delivery. if they are ready to devote 4 hours to the process and try 6 different dishes, then they are here. the price $$$$$$$$ depends strongly on the choice of wein. I would like to have more romantic / private sphere and a newer room.
The environment is spacious and welcoming. from the restaurant you enjoy an excellent view outside, quiet and relaxing. The lookout is excellent when they eat in free.We have eaten at 8 consecutive evenings, always the cheapest menu, but complete with appetizer, main dish and dessert. the wee is good, but expensive for us italian, so we have often decided for beer (ganter) and still water. the suggested menus have always been different, delicious and well presented, with the quality of the quantity of ingredients being preferred. three dishes were selected and two main dishes (mostly meat or fish). some games: 1) terrine with Tuscan brot with sauce, huh in white wine with fatty succinne or grilled fish with fatty succinne. spices with sweet and chocolate sorbet 2) consommé with woken, sworn lamb with couscous and parfait with cherry 3) black forests (specklike) with melone, truthahn boiled (in the mountains grown) and dessert with blueberries 4) Salad-curves-sweet-sweet dessert with strawberry parfait with ice cream 5) salatterrine with dörrobstpastete or goat milk soup (with pulled goat!). calfsfrikassee with basmatireis 6) terrine of pfifferlingen, boiled mazo with boiled carrots, red bete and mixed vegetables. Chocolate dessert7) consommé with omelett or tomaten with thunfisch and salat. seafood with noodles. panna cotta with red fruits 8) sunflower seed salad and croutons (lecker). smoked boar back with bratkartoffels and carrots. special dessert for the last dinner with strawberries, a ball of ice, a filled chocolate cake and tiramisu.
We have been in breisach several times, stayed in other hotels and decided this time for the kapuzinergarten. it is not really easy to reach as it is located in the upper city, but there are convenient parking for hotel guests. when they arrive, they wonder if the hotel is there at all, because they only see the reception desk and a first floor. the hotel is designed vice versa, that is, it goes down... each stage is marked with a color that corresponds to the key to its room. in principle, the rooms are situated on the slope and have a beautiful view of the black forest and the imperial chair. excellent kitchen. herr hau, unique character, white as guests are treated!
Although we had preordered a menu, then we had eaten à la carte and participated only 10 by 14 registered persons, everything was most accepted. it is really worthwhile to return because of the beautiful restaurant, the fantastic view over the imperial chair and above all because of the excellent eating there.
