Ellis Gourmet Burger Breda B.v. Breda

We really enjoyed our stay. Good quality of food and excellenct service. I can recommend the saesonal Bollywood Burger.

Ik heb al eerder bij Ellis Gourmet Burger in Brugge gegeten met mijn man, vandaag in Breda samen met mijn moeder en dochter. Het eten was uitstekend, de milkshake was super lekker en de zitplaatsen waren comfortabel (we zaten op de bank met een leuk uitzicht op de zijmarkt), maar ik wil graag een compliment maken over de dame die ons hielp. Wat een ontzettend vriendelijke en behulpzame dame, ze vertelde ons dat ze net weer aan het werk was na haar zwangerschapsverlof en ze was superlief tegen mijn dochtertje! Het komt steeds vaker voor dat het personeel in restaurants en winkels nauwelijks tijd voor je heeft en soms zelfs onbeleefd is, maar dat was hier zeker niet het geval. We zullen zeker nog eens terugkomen.

Disappointing. From the outside a beautiful building in the heart of Breda. However, the nice atmosphere is hard to find inside. When we entered we were initially not looked at, until someone shouted loudly from the kitchen that there was a customer. We were then led to our table by a girl who then immediately disappeared. After 5 minutes we received the menu from another server. Then ordering did not go too smoothly. Some things were no longer in stock and the kitchen had to be consulted twice. Fortunately (we thought) the order was neatly repeated. First came the drinks, which were tasty. Unfortunately things went wrong again, the main course arrived at the same time as the starter and the ordered Caesar salad had become a coleslaw salad (a side dish). We don't understand why it was decided that someone only wanted a side dish. Nothing further was done about it and no excuses were made, we had to make do with it. The salad was inedible and also contained pieces of tomato that are normally considered waste. The burger was dry and the calamaris were tough. Only the fries tasted good. Given the mediocre atmosphere (cluttered, not decorated) and the bad food, we ate it quickly and wanted to leave. However, things went wrong again with the bill. We received the wrong bill twice.
