Sy Donuts - Brea

Bo and Jenny are incredibly welcoming, and their donuts are always fresh! I grab my hazelnut coffee from there before heading to work. The service is quick, so I'm in and out in no time.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff was not friendly, and I found the prices to be quite high. I was looking for a different donut shop that also offered a ham and cheese croissant, but unfortunately, what I received was mediocre at best. I've been to other places in the area that charge the same, but they actually deliver on the main ingredients—ham and cheese. Here, I got tiny bits of ham that amounted to about half a slice, lacking flavor and substance. I definitely won’t be returning, and I hope they can improve their ham and cheese croissant in the future. Two thumbs down from me.

I've been visiting this place for nearly 30 years. The same owner is usually there every day. It's always a delight to drop by for a fresh donut and a warm smile.

Have been coming here for years and think today may have been our last visit. The donuts have never been fantastic, but OK and sometimes good, and the owners have never been pleasant, so we never expected friendly service. Good ham and cheese croissants usually, but again not consistent. The store is around the corner from where we live, so convenient and we like to support small businesses. However we will now be branching out to other donut shops in the area to find something better. Today our donuts were plain looking nothing fancy or pretty like I often see in other shops. They tasted OK, but had an underlying chemical taste that makes me think they might be overusing their oil when frying the donuts. The apple fritter and maple cruller were especially off in taste. It's always sad when small businesses drop the ball on quality and good customer service because this leads to losing customers. Hope they read their Yelp reviews and strive to improve so that they can continue in business.

Don't expect anything, then it's ok. The owner's not super friendly, got my coffee and donut holes, got my payment, and then got myself out of there. Not impressed, but I'm not offended like the other reviewers. This spot is close to me so I do hope the business do well and succeed!
