Corner Bakery - Brea

I am completely appalled!!! I discovered a cockroach in my salad. I asked to speak with the manager to get a refund and have been waiting on hold for over 15 minutes... called again and requested the manager only to be put on hold once more. The customer service is terrible!! The least they could do is address their customers' concerns, especially a loyal one. I will not be returning to this establishment. I am extremely let down.

I called to place a curbside pickup order at this restaurant, but the person who answered seemed to have forgotten about me as I could only hear people talking in the background. When I arrived at the restaurant, it wasn't busy at all. I waited in line for about 15 minutes with only three people ahead of me. When I finally placed my order for a grilled chicken pesto sandwich, the new and kind employee had to ask for assistance to ring it up. She entered the order correctly as "grilled" on my receipt. However, the person in the kitchen failed to pay attention to the ticket, resulting in my sandwich not being grilled and missing the pesto. Additionally, the tomato basil soup was very watered down. It's disappointing to see that this corner bakery has declined in quality.

This restaurant is in bad shape and reeks of smoke. Can people smoke indoors here? It reminds me of the strong smell at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas when I visited with my grandparents as a kid. The staff at the front aren't very friendly either. The smell made me lose my appetite for the food.

Craving something sweet with seasonal pumpkin from a bakery, their pumpkin baby bundt cake fit the category. They only had one left so I also got the peach baby bundt cake to share. Flavors were strong and spiced well but too sugary sweet for my taste. The fresh peach bits were tart and a nice complement and the pumpkin was my favorite. Other customers may love them more. The counter cashiers were both very nice and helpful and greeted us warmly as we entered. The interior is spaced out and comfortable for dining in.

I have many fond memories tied to this place , been going there since 2005 . Staff is very friendly and they have an excellent selection of sandwiches and deserts . I picked up a chai latte which is very unique and tastes so much like the chai from back home( India .
