48 Bistro Brea

If I could give this place 0 stars I would- came in with my family and had the WORST encounter with a waiter!! Not only were we not greeted and had to seat ourselves, he didn't even want to let us look at the menu. He was talking in the rudest tone and claimed he was the manager, like that gives him an excuse to be disrespectful to his customers. Needless to say we will never dine here again, and I would recommend anyone else to save a trip as well. Don't bother coming unless you want bad service and a meal ruined!

Not sure where we wanted to eat in Brea and discovered this restaurant. Great food and service

It's a small place with limited indoor and outdoor seating but we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the local activity. They only serve beer no wine but the Cucumber Mint Lemonade was super refreshing and fun to drink. Free refills, too! The Wonton Soup was delicious and they give free broth refills too! Coconut Shrimp and Cream Cheese Wontons were winners! There's free parking in the nearby structure and you can stroll around the area after dinner.

Have had this bookmarked on my page for sometime, the photos looked great. My sister and I left the office to meet here as Yelp mentioned it would open at 11 am. As we approach the door the sign said closed and it was about 11:20 am, one door was unlocked and figured maybe they forgot to turn the sign around. The server automatically said, We are closed and I asked what time do you open? . He said, Whenever the chef gets here . He wasn 't unapologetic at all or willing to even check where the chef was. We decided to go elsewhere because if they aren 't organized enough to serve customers on time, they probably don 't care about what they put on the plate for you. Never coming back and based of the reviews of other patrons, don 't waste you time trying to pop in they are open and closed at THEIR convenience.

This used to be my favorite spot in Brea, but something seems to have changed. Since the pandemic, I've noticed it has become less clean. I visited yesterday and found the floors and tables sticky, with chopstick wrappers and food particles left on the chairs. When our pho arrived, there was a sour, rotting smell, and unfortunately, we discovered that the noodles were spoiled. Although they replaced it with a fresh bowl, we noticed that the meat also had a slight sourness. It was really disappointing, and we were worried about food poisoning, so we decided not to finish our meal. I hope the management takes steps to thoroughly clean the restaurant and ensure that the food is fresh before someone gets sick.
