I was a couple times at the crown, but unfortunately after yesterday's experience I won't be back! ever! I have booked for 5 o'clock on Sunday. they are so fast to take their CC number to guarantee the resw, but I understand. Unfortunately they do not advise them that there is not much for them on the menu when they arrive, but they take their £30 when they cancel or do not show up! it is Sunday, most people go for a Sunday Brat-Yup they had sold at 17 o'clock. they had also sold out of two of the starters. the choice was suppe or a grilled cocktail and something else that just didn't like. we have both ordered the main steak order, because nothing else is left, what we have tied, and I have to say heston, it was far below the average! chewy and nothing special. it came with a little watertight and did not see that attraktiw. the sides were pommes or red cabbage, no green or otherwise something to go with steak on the menu! I'm still betrayed by all the experience! we eat very often and that was the worst experience for a dae! the workers were more interested in their friends who sat next to us with their puppies, so it was a bad show! I'm sure it was a busy Sunday, but there's no excuse! the service was 4/10 that was eating 2/10 atmosphere 8/10 experience 1/10 she offered us a good willing gesture and took the drinks from the bill our 2 glasses wein! I would rather pay for everything and have a better experience with good food! am I back? no! never! I tell everyone my friends how terrible it was!
Came here as a party of six on a Monday evening to dinner. large outdoor tent setup with several heatings that blow in hot air during the cold evening. no problem getting a table as we were sitting right away and menus were given. started with a sipsmith gin tonic 8ish) a refreshing drink that went well with a few starters. for my main course, ordered the pork tenderloin 25) glazed parts of pork served beside carrots, black oysters and sage crumbs. incredibly delicate pork, which is compensated by the hearty black oysters. ends the night with the praline parfait 10.50) a vaulted dessert of praline, chocolate and pedro ximenez. not excessively sweet or decadent; just a nice short hit of the Praline taste. server often came by when they refilled water and took more soaking orders. in any case it is worth stopping, no matter what time of the year.
