The Vermont Country Deli - Brattleboro

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for lunch or a quick snack. They offer delicious 8-inch biscuits, local craft beer, and homemade sandwiches and soups. The menu has something for everyone, and everything we tried was excellent. We highly recommend the Beef Bean Chili Soup, the Roadkill Sandwich, and the huge Oatmeal Raisin cookie. Conveniently located right off the highway, it's a perfect place to grab a bite to eat before hitting the road again. They accept credit cards, have two parking spaces (one for the Deli and one for the general store), and a few outdoor tables for dining al fresco.

Very popular place! We drove from Maine and it was worth it! The pulled pig and Mac cheese were delicious! And the desserts! We have a great variety and they were all wonderful! Definitely worth the ride.

We truly enjoy the VT Country Deli on our drive home from South Londonderry, VT. Our favorites are the Mac 'n' Cheese and the pulled pork sandwiches.

This is a great place where we stopped for breakfast on the way to NH's White Mountain region. The sticky pecan bun, banana nut muffin and chocolate croissant were delicious and fill. My family members told me that the Fog Lifter coffee was extremely strong and did the job! On our way home from the White Mountain region, we stopped here again to bring treats home. I hoped that the huge lemon tart, pecan tarts and eclair tasted as good as they looked. You didn't disappoint. They were delicious! Sometimes Eclairs could have a dry bowl or excessively sweet chocolate ceremony. This Eclair was perfect, not excessively sweet and the shell was not dry. The pecan tart and lemon tart were delectable! Make sure you stop here for their delicious baked goods! When I looked at the size of the leaks, I thought they were a good buy.

Stopped on a whim hoping for greatness and not simply a tourist post. We were not disappointed. Our sandwiches were very good. I-91 Italian a Highwayman Ham on mulitgrain bread. Yum! Large filling. I would add mayo next time but really no complaints. Couldn't pass on dessert (but should have) Éclair a personal Boston Cream Pie good but way too much on top of the huge sandwiches. Very friendly patient staff! Kudos to waxed butcher paper wrapping pressed paper deli boxes!
