Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe came on a Monday so maybe it was more people than normal but there was only one person handling the tables and she was efficient but overworked. Made sure she and she only got a good tip.Food was great and its a cute place in a historic town. I would have tried some of the cocktails but didnt want to add to the waitresses workload. The cook came out to clean tables. Its next to a hotel on the north side of townI would go back
The food was good and the service was nice, but the prices are simply not worth it when there are other options within 20-30 miles. You can expect to pay roughly 30$ for a single entree and the portions are good but not enough food for 30$. You can’t really expect to charge about 50$ per person when the dining area has a huge water stain on the ceiling. At that price, I’d expect to order cocktails with the entree.
Food: we had amazing butter chicken, lamb saag, naan, and ras malai. Everything was fresh, beautifully plated, plenty large portions, and flavorful. We met the chef who said he tries to source as much as possible local. They even have spices you can buy to take home that are ridiculously pungent and delicious!Service: even without the great food, I would give this place five stars for service. They were technically closed when me and my friend (visibly pregnant) showed up. They opened a table despite being closed and then were SO HOSPITABLE. Our waiter Sonny was friendly and told us stories about his family (he was working home from college). Food came out fast and chef came to meet us!Atmosphere: beautiful inside, calm, nice attention to details and lovely decor. All around great experienceEDIT: after reading others’ reviews I want to add a comment about price. We ordered: chai, vegetable pakora, butter chicken, lamb saag, naan, ras malai, AND two full take-home containers of fresh spices and it was less then $100. We have gotten two additional meals from it. We know that we have some skewed price perceptions (from living in assorted places including NY and CA) but it was very reasonable for the quality and size and service.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veg food here!Dietary restrictions: I’m allergic to soy and they were super accommodating
Such a lovely place for having an authentic Indian dinner. The restaurant is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating, and presents with a gentle ambiance featuring many Indian art objects. The chicken curry was delightful, simmered in a curry sauce that was not heavy. The lamb dish was very tasty, with ample rice. The lassi drinks are also some of my favorite items for drinks. The portions are filling, and take-home is encouraged. Really a lovely place.
Honestly the prices here are ridiculous. $33 for butter chicken is laughable. $10 for an onion naan is extortion. If you want Indian food and live in Brattleboro drive 20 minutes to Greenfield and get it for 1/2 the price along with better quality and bigger portions. There are fine dining places over in Wilmington and West Dover that are comparable price wise. I am in shock that they have any customers who pay these prices regularly.
