I visited for breakfast and had avo toast and vegan lotus cheesecake. Both was great (though not the best in my life), also nice styling. Service was nice and quick, too. Great interior and vibe, I definitely want to visit again. It is spacious and can accommodate big groups. I did not like the music though, it was too loud.
Come here if you want to hang with locals and enjoy great food. We loved the vibe and general feeling of this place with lots of locals enjoying a evening drink. Try the vegan hot chocolates was like drinking melted chocolate!
Delicious food with plenty vegan options. Had the Hummus and fried zucchini, both very tasty. Also try one of the cakes. The Oreo was amazing. Only downside is that it is quite pricey (eg 5€ for a price of cake).
Brixton House is the latest instalment of the Urban brand that is very well known to the locals for being rather polarizing. On the one hand, you have the hipster camp that praises the brand for their urban (surprisingly look, chilled atmosphere, and modern bistro-like dining experience. On the other hand, you have the group that considers this uninspiring, pretentious, and overpriced. Depending on the camp you belong to, add or subtract a star from this review Here I am focusing on what matters the most, and that is the food itself. Non-vegan restaurants usually either try to cater vegans, or serve vegans. Former referring to simply offering a vegan dish or two to be able to serve everyone who visits, the latter making a conscious effort to have a solid vegan offer that is well thought out, sizeable, and usually compromises an option from each course. Brixton House certainly belongs to the latter and without making this review much longer then it already is, their food is simply fantastic! We tried almost everything from their menu and were not disappointed with a single item. All dishes had something that made them stand out and be memorable (not in terms of the wow factor but taste wise predominantly) and you could immediately see that whoever is preparing the dishes knows what he/she is doing. Case in point is their hummus plate. Simple enough but the way it is put together (hummus is made with avocado for extra creaminess, and the vegetables is grilled on open fire with the most amazing charred, smoky flavor) makes you smile and go hmmmm after every single bite my wife will certainly concur Overall, Brixton is for non-vegan restaurants what Balans Bistro is for vegan ones. Absolute best in Bratislava, miles ahead of the competition and an absolute must if you want some delicious vegan food.
