Cote Riviere - Brantôme

A very friendly welcoming restaurant with a terrace offering great views of the river in this beautiful French town. Food was good too! Had a pepper stuffed with goats cheese starter, a kind of cottage pie with chunks of beef main and an excellent Cafe...Gourmand dessert. Only thing that stopped a five starter was the rather fatty beef.

This place is located in the immediate vicinity of the abtei and is an excellent stop for lunch. we sat on the terrace, overlooking the river and the old houses. the owner allowed us to choose a table before I asked if. we could just wait, we were minutes early to begin. the meal was really good. two different dishes were selected from the daily menus. wein am glas was excellent both from the bergerac region. we will book this place again when we visit the village again. the restaurant was full shortly after opening and I propose to book a reservation in advance.
