They have good drink specials and entertainment, can't beat it. My only suggestion to the place would be to serve food every day, you will sell more alcohol. Even if it is a smaller menu on slow weeknights. I was really concerned at first because an older gentleman with a jean jacket and cap on, pushed one of the piano players to the side while he was mid playing and took over. I really thought it was some random patron doing that. But as the night wore on I realized he was either the owner or someone that knew these people. All three of the entertainers were really good and did their best with the requests, the female had a great voice and I loved that she would just start playing whatever she wanted at times and was great. It was all in all a fun time, even the bartenders were great...they were dancing and singing a long making it a fun experience. Even with just a few tables there on a slower night, a really good time.
We visited Ernie Biggs in Branson on a Friday night in August 2014. We arrived about five minutes before 8:00 pm (show time) and had our choice of seats. There is a $5 cover charge. The show began promptly at eight, even though the bar was only 1/4 full by then. Three piano players rotated through the night and I thought they complimented each other pretty well, regardless of the pairing. I don 't remember their names, but the older, hippie-type was an amazing musician and had a fantastic voice. He didn 't have much of a personality, but I could sit and listen to him play all night. The other older player was a great musician and had an adequate voice. He was snarky, full of one liners and kept the crowd laughing. The young player was a good musician and his youthful enthusiasm made up for his lack of a voice. The show is almost all requests, but a drummer came out for 2-3 songs that appeared to have been rehearsed. You turn your requests in with a tip. As you 'd expect, the larger the tip, the quicker they will try to get to your song. It looked like most people were tipping $1s and $5s. I turned in a request for two songs with a $10 and they were played almost immediately. I 'd rate the show PG-13, more for the sexual innuendos and lewd comments than for the occasional language. As others have said, you 'll have as much fun as you want. The musicians do a good job of encouraging the crowd to participate. And they do the obligatory drag-the-unwilling-sap-to-the-stage thing. We sang, clapped along and laughed all night. The bar was pretty much full by 9:00 and when we left at 10:30, it was SRO. It 's non-smoking inside, but there are several tables just outside the door for smokers to escape for a quick fix and still hear the music. There is a small menu of typical bar fare: hamburgers, pizza, nachos, etc. We tried the chips and queso and it wasn 't great. The chips were crisp and salty, but the queso tasted like something you 'd get at a high school basketball game. My wife had a White Russian and I had three domestic beers in bottles. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, although he did forget the chips and queso for a few minutes. After a reminder, they appeared quickly. The tab was $35, including a generous tip. It was a very pleasant evening out for $55. We 'll definitely be back.
Best time of our lives!!!!! Had a blast last night Saturday 3/18 at Ernie Biggs in Branson MO. We had a group of 9. The staff was very good with keeping the drinks flowing. We order food and it was amazing. Drinks were perfectly mixed. The entertainers were awesome and kept the crowd involved with the music making it a great experience for all. We have also been to the one in Wichita Ks and this is by far the better one. The entertainers made the night even had a guest performance by a singer. Will recommend this all adults heading to Branson. Or anyone looking for a fun night out to unwind and let your hair down... defiantly a 5 star place.
First and last time to visit, we are from KC and we must have been there on a off night, for everyone! The drinks were expensive, the bartender was not in the mood and we split after a drink. If they have a night that is on, the bartender was not clear on when it was. Sad to see in a town of entertainment that this place is allowed to operate.
The musicians are wonderful. Very skilled. The older guy especially. The drinks were awful. Very weak. Should have been drunk, but barely got a buzz. The bartender did not know how to make a Long Island. It was hard to find. It didn't say that it was in the mall so I drove around it 2x.
