Black Oak Grill - Branson

We ended up here after a bad experience at a restaurant down the street and glad we found it. We sat out on the patio on a lovely evening. We were seated promptly and served water and an appetizer. We ordered our food and was served promptly. Thefood was good and the service was excellent. I?m glad that our experience here was positive, now off to the ice cream parlor.

Ordered ribeye with grilled zucchini roasted red peppers as well as horseradish sauce. The tomato basil soup was yummy. The goat cheese mushrooms were great. Would highly recommend this place!

So, we are out in Branson for a week here and stopped in hoping to get some food that isn't as bad as many experiences have been so far. This is now our second visit here and we are going one last time before we leave. I hope that says it all. Food isamazing, the restaurant is very clean, and all of the staff have been great, especially our server, Brad, who we asked for thesecond and will again for the third visit. The menu is smaller, which is better in my opinion, and each plate shows the careput into it. Enjoy!

On a weekend getaway to Branson. It is my first time here, of course. We unload our baggage (literally and figuratively) at the hotel. All we could think about was having a lovely dinner to unwind. I choose the Black Oak Grill. I really wanted to tryPaula Dean's but my daughter informed me that this restaurant had a higher rating. Off we went! The restaurant was teeming withdiners but there were still plenty of free tables and booths. We were seated but not asked where we would like to be seated. Weplaced our orders after reviewing the menus an inordinate amount of time. The options were quite limited. Our server, Jessicaleft to place the orders. While people watching I noticed the daily special. It had not been mentioned by our server. Sufficeit to say, I changed my order to the glazed steak with mashed potatoes and added the ????. The steak was a little chewy butflavorful. There was only a hint of glaze but my meal was decent. My daughter ordered the Iron Skillet Trout. It wasaesthetically pleasing but was completely unpalatable. My granddaughter enjoyed her chicken sandwich and ????.

The food was amazing and great portion for the price. The pork on the BBQ Mac and Cheese was juicy and had tons of flavor! Our server Bryant made us feel welcome and was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!!
