Wok Of Fame - Brampton

On May 25, 2023, I attended a dinner celebrating a 60th wedding anniversary for dear friends. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing! The quality was extremely poor, and there was a limited selection to choose from. One of the main food stations was completely closed, and an entire second seating area was as well. The offerings were all low-quality, mostly consisting of cheap, deep-fried items. It was a far cry from the quality I experienced during my last visit, and all of this for $40 per person! It definitely wasn't worth it, and I won’t be returning again.

I visited this restaurant for a large family gathering on Canada Day, and I was thrilled since it was my first all-you-can-eat buffet experience since the pandemic. Unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. There wasn’t a wide variety of options, and while the noodle station in the center was a nice touch, the grilled dishes were overcooked and tasteless. Additionally, there were two rows featuring the same selections. I would definitely recommend Dragon Legend or Pearl instead of this buffet. On the bright side, the dining area is spacious, and the service was friendly. There’s also plenty of parking available.

The stir-fried dishes are reasonably good. The wok dishes and Pad Thai with black pepper sauce are decent, though the sauces lean toward the sweeter side for an East Asian palate. Some of the pre-cooked items are quite tasty, and they have a good selection of deep-fried options that are enjoyable. The sweet and sour chicken wings and fried fish are particularly excellent, as well as the fried chicken wings. It’s worth noting that there is no pork available for dine-in customers, which is a bit odd since it's offered for takeout. They also have hotplate meats that are cooked fresh right in front of you. The grilled salmon and chicken sirloin are decent, though the sirloin was a bit tough. An interesting feature of this buffet is that they provide juice in the soda machine, and I mean real juice—not juice drinks. It's quite rare for a non-casino buffet to include beverages, but they have managed to do so here.

Excellent buffet! This is my favorite spot, even better than Mandarin. They offer a wide variety of food, and the place is very clean. The servers are polite and attentive without being intrusive, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it to all my friends!

We traveled from Hamilton and it was our first visit to this restaurant. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the place, especially the spacious interior. The tables and chairs are arranged well apart, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. We really enjoyed the delicious food, particularly the dishes prepared right in front of us. We will definitely be returning with more family and friends in the future. Keep up the great work!
