Jamaica House Kitchen - Brampton

This place is pretty run down and the service is terrible.

Good food. I had large jerk chicken with rice and beans, which was nice but the rice was not fresh and had hard chunks. Also bathroom sink water was ice cold.

Very disappointed with the food__I had to comment after my last two experience.

Jamaica House specialises in ethnic food. I usually drop in to do take out. I find thr staff to be friendly and the service good. My favourite meal there is their curry goat on Fridays. Its not as good on weekdays. I would not hesitate to refer friends and relatives.

On Saturday, March 18th, my husband and I drove from Barrie to take our mom out for an authentic Jamaican breakfast. We called ahead, the day before, to check the menu, the hours of operation and location. We also browsed the website to ensure the particulars were all correct. We were ensured that what we read and what we heard were correct. To our dismay, when we arrived at 9:50, the doors were locked; not a car nor staff member anywhere in sight. Not only is this unprofessional behaviour unacceptable, but these types of practices only exasperates the stereotypes that most people have of Caribbean people. If you are to make it in business, please ensure that what you advertise and what you actually practice line up! To drive 1 hour and 15 mins to this welcome was disheartening!
