Flip's Restaurant - Brampton

I ordered strawberry pancakes with bacon and egg as sides. The portions are really big that I wasn't able to finish it all. I have to take some of it home. I like that they use really fresh strawberries and the pancakes are fluffy. The cashier/server for our table is really nice and always smiles. Too bad I didn't get her name so I could post it here.

I use to love this place. I stopped in there Sunday and noticed they have changed the way they do business. The reason i loved this place was it was an old style diner. It is no more. I wont go again. Sad to see.

Dad had the Country Harvest (eggs over easy), i had the Ranch Steak and Eggs (eggs gone - i hate eggs).So.Much.Food!Dad was pleased with his meal - eggs perfectly done, bacon crisp and not greasy.My steak and fruit filled a platter i could use as a snowboard. Fruit beautifully fresh and tasty. Definitely worth a return visit.

One week ago Flips management decided to change things up at this restaurant. We have been coming here for over 10 years on the weekends. They big news is that they have credit and debit. Big They got rid of the table service and changed to order yourself. Lineups at the order station. Menu changed. Coffee served in paper cups. Yuck!! No tips for servers because it is a do it yourself job now. They have the nerve to charge 2.25 for a coffee in a paper cup. Orders getting mixed up. The only loser here besides the customers are the poor servers. There is no way they will get the tips like they did before so I hope management increased their hourly wage On a positive note - anyone looking for a wonderful breakfast dining experience should keep heading north on highway 10 to John's restaurant. Crossroad is Fishermans Drive. They do the best poached eggs in town - something Flips never could do. Good bye Flips - we will be flipping you off as of today.

I've been going to Flips for a long time but I've made my last trip there. They no longer serve you at a table. You go in place your order get a number card and if your lucky find a table (it's a small restaurant) then when your foods ready they bring it to you. You have to get your own coffee too. Mind you the food is still very good but the atmosphere is gone now.
