Went to the the one in Woodbridge. The Caesar drink was watered down, packed with ice, the food is discusting, we ordered a club sandwich and they give us a square bun with a piece of chicken , the bottom of the bun was soggy. The dips all taste like curry, the quisidillas had two paper thin pieces of chicken in them with paper thin cheese .Them place is nicely decorated but the food I'd expensive and horrible.
This is the second time I have gone and I have had to send back my food. I ordered very simple things fries and onion rings I'm not sure how you can mess that up. Twice they were not cooked. I sent them back. They came back they had thrown the same fries and onion rings back in the fryer. My gf had the same problem. Hers came back out of the fryer w her ketchup on them. Disgusting. Dissapointing. Not enjoyable food at all.
My husband and I visited Slumdog a couple weeks ago and it truly lived up to its name - SLUMDOG! First of all, no one greets you at the door as you walk in. We weren't sure if we were to seat ourselves or wait for someone to escort us. At least put up a sign that indicates you can seat yourself. The only staff member we saw was a girl at the bar and she had her back turned for so long that she didn't even know we walked in. We had to go up to her and ask her what to do.The menu seemed fine as we read through it, but the biggest disappointment was getting our meals and the food was COLD!!! Nothing was freshly made since it took no time at all to get our food, and we ordered ribs, shrimp, rice and sweet potato fries. For the money we spent, it was a total waste. We would've preferred Swiss Chalet. At least their meals are fresh. Also the restaurant was freezing, which only made our food getting colder, faster. Not once were we ever asked how the meal was or if we needed anything further. It's like they knew the food sucked so they didn't want to hear it. Even when we were paying, we weren't asked if we enjoyed the meal.Nasty! Never going back again.
... As my daughter is 26 but "family" is not accurate (I wouldn't bring my 8yr old as she'd be bored: no "my little pony").This is my second visit and there's is nothing I can think of to improve.Good selection of drinks (I don't like beer) including somersby cider. The food is *fantastic* - but seriously: they could cut the portion size. Coconut shrimp: eight fat butterfly shrimp in a coconut crust with a really tasty dipping sauce is enough to fill you up.Spinach salad with apples, walnuts, and goat cheese comes in a bowl the size of your head. The walnuts are not tiddly little crumbs but full halves and big chunks.French onion soup - dripping with cheese, rich broth, another meal sized portion.Thai soup - tomato broth, which was unexpected, as I don't like tomato. But this was delicious and had a really great spicy kick right out of the gate. The ambience is sort of a sports bar if the sports bar took its martini shaken, not stirred. James Bond with his shirt collar open, tie undone, and sleeves pushed back.Definitely a go-to.
