Wonderful experience at the restaurant, excellent and tasty food, accompanied by a perfect Portuguese wine, pleasant atmosphere and fast preparation of the food. Dessert was impeccable. Congratulations to the Chef and the whole team for their work. I will be back next year without a doubt. I recommend it to anyone who wants to taste the best of Portuguese cuisine.
We arrived late with no booking at 9.30pm but met with a friendly welcome, efficient service and good food. Portobello mushrooms followed by octopus and asparagus risotto. All very good. Finished with a complementary glass of port. Head waiter and waitress were both great good advice and amazing English to cover for our terrible Portuguese.
We spent 5 days in Braga, each day we had Bacalhau … the Bacalhau we had here is define the best in town. Many thanks to the chef Paulo and his team
This restaurant was chosen in part for its vegetarian options. We were warmly welcomed and the host patiently answered all our questions. We started with the vegetable soup, warm and thick mainly of peas. We had the eggplant Parmesan appetizer which was huge, the vegetable tagliatelle, the cheese stuffed portobello mushroom. The piece d’resistance was the grilled black pork which was not only tender and flavorful but the portion was more than enough for two people. We finished with the “chocolate muffin” with a molten chocolate center and vanilla ice cream all served with a bottle of Douro red wine. Just a superb meal.
We had a nice evening here. Atmosphere a bit posh. Staff was very friendly and forthcoming. The food was good but I can't be as lyrical about it as some reviews here. The aubergine lasagna starter was a bit bland and the octopus was not crusty like we had it a couple of days before. All in all good tastes though. But: huge portions, consider skipping the starter or sharing a main dish.
