Casa Bolas De Berlim - Braga

Casa Bolas de Berlim is a small coffee shop in Braga it is located about 5 min walking distance from the city center. I think it is quite hidden anyway it is worth the visit. I have been here twice and the Berliners are delicious. You can choose your favourite filling among several diferente flavours that can go from cookie, red fruit, chocolate... The best is that it is quite cheap. I payed 1.3€ for a Mint tea and a small Berliner.

Very good pastry, with the Portuguese staples plus a few twists thrown in for variety. Try the full donuts (bola de Berlim), the house 's speciality or the litmus test of any Portuguese pastry shop: the 'pastel de nata '

If you visit the S. Vitor church (very interesting for the glaze tile panels) don’t miss this café either for a coffee break or for a light lunch. The specialty are the Berlin balls with very good fillings. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is very agreeable. Enjoy

A nice local small chain of pastry shops with very good quality food. Try any of the pastries, but don 't miss out on the house 's hallmark, the 'bola de Berlim ', either the classical or with one the several new fillings available. Service could be a bit more polite, but does get things done efficiently.

Nice place. The Bolas de Berlim were good, but way too sweet for MY taste. Others may like them as they were, but not for me.
