The food wasn 't awful, however, it is extremely over priced. The main reason that I rate this place a one star..... NOWHERE does it state that parties of 6 or more are instantly charged a 20% GRATUITY. Our party of 6 consisted of two adults and four CHILDREN. (10, 6, 4, and 17 MONTHS OLD). This policy is not listed anywhere in their menu. The hostess claims that it states this ONLY on their website and on their Facebook page (of which I have now looked at both and cannot seem to find it ANYWHERE). We typically tip 20% wherever we go, however, being FORCED to do so (especially for a child that isn 't even a year and a half old) seems absolutely ridiculous. Clearly the owner wants to nickel and dime each patron. None of the overpriced lunch meals come with fries (as most people would expect), they come with a cheap bag of potato chips and a tiny cup of prepackaged coleslaw. The lack of advertising their gratuity policy is extremely shady and shows that the owner clearly does not care about anything other than making some extra money on top of his overpriced food.
Great food! Great Staff!. Amazing food! Went with a group of friends so we got to try lots of their dishes. First off the pizzas are amazing! Great variety from seafood, to burgers , salads and delicious best hot wings. The staff is super friendly and kind. We were greeted by not only the owners but also the manager. All the staff is friendly. Several seating areas to choose from: out door with live music, in door bar , and quieter back room. It's now our favorite place on the island.
The Freckled Fin Irish Pub is different from your typical Irish pub yet parts are also the same. Yes, it is a bar, yes they have live music, and yes they serve the typical pub grub that you would expect from an Irish Pub. The menu is unlike any other Irish pub I have been two with more unique items that cater to an Irish crowd, not food that an American eats and thinks is Irish food. When I visited Dublin in 2013, I was introduced to the side of Irish cuisine that I had never seen, true Irish cuisine. Whether it was at a fine dining restaurant like L’Ecrivain or a small pub that I would stop into for a quick bite and beer, these are the foods I saw on the Freckled Fin menu.
The peel and eat shrimp with Old Bay seasoning are sooooooooo delicious. Their outdoor area is very dog friendly, one of our litmus tests for good restaurant patios. A
