Katie's Cafe - Bradenton

We’ll definitely be back. On 9/24/21, I stopped in for a quick bite before my afternoon shift. They closed at 2:00 PM, so it wasn’t too busy. I had breakfast while my husband tried the Cuban sandwich. I was not disappointed. The staff was as pleasant and friendly as during my last visit. On 12/21, we had another great experience. On 1/30/22, I visited Katie’s Kitchen and enjoyed the grilled cheese with potatoes—because you just have to try it—with raisin toast. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito, but he found it just average. He’ll choose something else next time, though he usually enjoys the various items. The owner continues to interact with all customers, creating a warm atmosphere. Unfortunately, our waitress seemed a bit out of sorts today; we overheard her mentioning she was nursing a hangover. On 2/6/22, I had the stuffed French toast with blueberries, and it was delicious!

This is a great breakfast spot with a wide variety of options. The waitress was friendly and seemed to know all the regular customers. A restaurant with a loyal following must be doing something right!

Breakfast is only served during lunchtime, which is a bit disappointing. As for lunch, it's just average. I recommend avoiding the onion rings, as they tend to overcook the light part of the onion.

That was our first time we came to Katie. The food was excellent. We found the prices very cheap. The parts were good. The staff was very friendly.

Katie’s is full every morning with their “regulars”. In the restaurant world, having regulars means your doing business right. As a regular myself, I see how all the staff and the owner operate. They are consistent, friendly deliver quality. He has little to no turn over, this means he’s taking care of his employees and they enjoy working for him. They make you feel like your having breakfast at home with your family. This is a feel good, good food and great company kind of place. If you haven’t been here, your missing out. If you have been here, you are probably agreeing with everything I’ve written as you read it. Order the Short Stack, you won’t be disappointed.
