The dim sims were huge but undercooked. Really disappointing. I spent over $70 and still had to pay extra for prawn crackers which were yellow and tasted of old oil.
Ordered takeaway wonton noodle soup and asked for a serve of steam dim sims for entree. Hubby got home with my dinner and the soup was the type that is thickened with corn flour, included some carrot, some wontons, school prawns and other stuff. It was bland and I didnt even finish it. The dim sims were like nothing Ive ever seen before...these gigantic things that I ate two of then actually made a whole sandwich with the next day with the other two and while I cant say they were bad, I was just weirded out by their size..they made no sense. One would have been enough. I cant say Id go there again as I love a good broth with my noodle soups and this neither had broth nor noodles so I would describe it as a fail.
I am a repeat customer of Panda Inn. Wait time can be a tad long but in my opinion, it's worth the wait. Ps: I've never had containers brimming so much that they need to use a rubber band to hold it in. Value for money!
Ordered salt and pepper pork ribs and was told it would be a 20 minute wait but was about 45 mins. I opened them to nibble on when I got in the car and they were lukewarm, like they had cooked them and forgot them. The coating was floury and thin. The worst I have ever had. I would not go back. Looked like dog food.
While the restaurant may not have much in terms of aesthetics, they serve delicious Chinese cuisine at a low cost. The portions are generous and filling. Just remember to have cash on hand as they do not accept EFTPOS payments.
