Both the calzone and the garlic bread had a similar thick, loaf-like dough, and the garlic bread wasn’t particularly enjoyable, while the calzone was just okay. Altogether, my order came to about $34 with delivery. For a late-night meal with plenty of leftovers, it was definitely a good deal. However, this isn’t fine Italian cuisine. If Donini's wants to compete with larger chain pizza places, they’ll need to improve the pizza bases and achieve a better balance with the toppings. I might consider eating there again, though it was very greasy—then again, it is pizza!
The carbonara is overly greasy, consisting mainly of cheese with soggy bacon and a lot of shallots. The wings are tough and have rubbery skin. The calzone is completely bland.
Initially, we didn’t think much of the pizza, but I started feeling unwell around 8 a.m. It turns out that both of us are suffering from food poisoning from the pizzas, leaving us struggling to take care of our little one. We’ve eaten here before, but after this experience, we won't be returning.
Yes, it's a good pizza place. I tried the BBQ chicken, Hawaiian, and London bake pizzas. They had a lot of toppings and cheese, used quality ingredients, and offered fast delivery at a reasonable price.
The service was acceptable, but the pasta and pizza were the worst I've had in years. Everything had an overpowering curry flavor, the bolognese sauce contained large chunks of spring onions, and the pizzas were nearly burnt on top. Overall, the food was nearly inedible—I ended up throwing away $70 worth.
