Touchstone Resort - Bracebridge

My niece and I spent 4 days at Touchstone Resort August 2023.Enjoying the lakeview from the dock was the ONLY good part...the natural beauty of MuskokaWe each spent 90 minutes cleaning balcony, room and bathroom upon our arrival. It was dirty, everywhere. There were spider webs inside and out, dried spilled wine through balcony and on outdoor furniture, dry dead bugs on ceiling above our bed and small fridge was full of frost and it was leaking as well. The toaster was so stained and needed a good cleaning.The indoor restaurant was dark and musty. The very expensive menu was so disappointing. Dishes were below average except for the steak.We also had to call daily for fresh towels and rooms were not serviced on a daily basis.We had to call as well for extra soap, toilet paper and pick up of soiled towels and emptying of bins.The beach towels that were given to us at reception were ridiculously small.I am sorry to write such negative comments but this was our experience. This resort stay was very costly. In good conscience, we will never recommend nor will we return.

Good place to stay and relax, rooms are great.There was one big negative for us, being that the Spa area a does not have proper showers, the only one is in the bathroom with toilette (disgusting!! , and there are no loungers or chairs or anything inside to relax if it's too cold to stay outside. Great area with infitinity pool and sun loungers outside though. Also it was easy and nice to go out on a Kayak and SUP on the lake, they offer a good choice (we went out of season .

Room was nice except the badly stained carpet in the bedroom. I found a dead bug in my bed. Some of the staff were not friendly. The continental breakfast is terrible. There is no customer service after 8pm which is unacceptable. No room service. The food at lunch is really good. Dinner menu is just average. The infinity pool is nice. Beach is nice. It's close to Port Carling which is great. You can hear the guests in the room above you which is very annoying. It's just an okay place.Nearby activities: Its near Port Carling which is a plus

Arrived via seadoo to Bob's Boathouse and received the friendliest and most knowledgeable service from Casey she is a great asset to your establishment. We ordered food and drinks, all fantastic (one of the best burgers in Muskoka). Will definitely be back.Food drinks: Great food drinks at Bob's Boathouse

Despite the below there is NO EV charging at the resort. EV drivers beware.Stopped for lunch by boat. Fabulous food, drinks and service! Great to have another great spot on the lakes to lunch with friends and family. Keep it up Touchstone!
