Rende Italian Eatery - Bracebridge

Third times a charm! We have enjoyed the food here consistently since they opened, but they have struggled at the front, service end. Tonight's visit leads me to believe that issue is resolved in a wonderful way! Our first visit, they just opened and the owner explained his server called in sick. He was honest that serving was not his strength so we enjoyed an amazing meal and understood he was adjusting under difficult circumstances. Second visit this past August, food once again was amazing, but with only 3 tables occupied .... we waited over 1.5 hours for our salad.. not good (I think our server forgot to enter our order onto their system.. not a kitchen issue! . Tonight, we entered and received a wonderful welcome from the server. When I asked about one dish, not only did she explain the dish but shared a photo from her phone (made my decision that much easier! . We enjoyed a fantastic meal (as usual , but this time we felt like we felt so welcome that it almost seemed that we were eating at a friend's home. A true Italian experience! Service was attentive but not intrusive, shared fun conversation and as always.. enjoyed amazing food that tasted just like Southern Italy. Looking forward to becoming a regular. Fantastico!

Food was as authentic as eating at my moms house, only difference was she wasn't at the back cooking. Its old school Italian food like no other. The pizza is great, their sauces are authentic, portions are big so bring your appetite. You may wonder why this food tastes different from the other places you've been at its simple this is authentic Italian food. Staff is great. Real cool was the wine barrel sink. Cant wait to come back.

Rende has been able to do something that nobody else in the area has been able to do in years.. that is satisfy my craving for a fresh cannoli! They were FANTASTIC.. thank you!

We were looking for a place to have dinner on Saturday night and chose this restaurant. Overall, our experience was enjoyable. We started with calamari and garlic bread, both of which were tasty. For my main course, I ordered fettuccini with pesto, and I also had the Oreo cheesecake for dessert. Both the pasta and dessert were excellent! To top it off, they had Moretti beer on tap, which was a delightful surprise since I had just visited Rome in the fall. The service was very good despite the restaurant being quite busy. The waitress apologized several times for the wait, but it didn't feel like the service was slow. All in all, we had a good Italian meal; however, I found it a bit pricey for what it was.

Charming and genuine Italian restaurant. The ambiance is fantastic, and the menu is spot on. I really appreciate the story behind this place. I can't wait to return!
