Backcountry - Bozeman

Quick seating, quick initial greeting at the counter. Had the bison burger w/a few changes. Wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked but I typically prefer medium, this was medium rare. Super tasty juicy. Good fries, excellent ranch dressing. Took awhile and no one checked back after I got my food but the person that brought my food got me extra napkins etc

Solid local beer selection. Had a Maria's, cheese curds, and side salad. Burger was tasty. Bison patty was tasty. Cooked to a medium. Could have done medium rare. Cheese curds were really good. Seasoned well w a bomb dipping sauce. Salad had nice mix of greens not just lettuce. I enjoyed me lunch.

Alright service, great food. The backcountry burger was really tasty. The backcountry sauce is delicious. Reviews don’t lie, the cheese curds were fantastic! Fries are a must, onion rings aren’t your typically onion rings. If in Bozeman, come here!

My favorite thing to do in the summer involves riding my motorcycle around eating cheeseburgers at new places. Needless to say, I have tried a lot of burgers. After being told by quite a few of my customers at the Cats Paw that I needed to try backcountry, I begrudgingly dragged my boyfriend in for lunch the other day. I was mentally prepared for a mainstream slightly hipster vibe and was so pleasantly surprised this was not the case. Not only was the staff super chill and attentive, but the place itself had a really laid back feel. My boyfriend even commented on it saying 'this is a sweet spot ' he doesn 't like going out to eat, so that 's a definite win! Now, the food, it really doesn 't matter what you order, I promise it will be expertly crafted, grilled or fried to perfection, and even the bison will be juicy. Our meals came out quickly and we 're effing delicious. I could not be happier with the burger that I devoured. I was full half way through, but I finished every bite, because I wanted to keep tasting the deliciousness of that perfectly balanced burger, every ingredient feeding into the flavor of the next. Amazing job! Can 't wait to have this be a regular date night spot.
