Josie's - Boynton Beach

The food at this restaurant was delicious, but the service was extremely poor. We ordered a pizza and were told it would be ready in 5 minutes, but it took 45 minutes for it to arrive at our table. To make matters worse, the hostess came by our table and asked how everything was. When I explained that the service was not good, their response was simply "I'm sorry, there's not much we can do about it, it's Monday night." They should have had more staff working. Overall, not a good experience.

I was disappointed when my wife's court came to the table cold. The waitress offered to reheat the dish. It was not the type of plate you can reheat in a microwave oven. She offered to get the manager to the table that never happened. It was an expensive meal that we did not get close to the value.

Our reserved table was not ready when we arrived on time and would not have been ready for atleast another 20-30 minutes. Fortunate there was a high top table available next to the kitchen and we took it. So we never got a true feel for the ambience of the place, because we sat on the fringe. Fortunately we had a great waiter and the rest of our evening was saved.

Excellent Sunday brunch, delicious frittata and truffle burger with wedge fries.

Food was good but not necessarily outstanding. I didn't care much for my appetizer but one of the special dishes the veal salt and Boca, was a fair attempt to replicate a premier Italian dish, while flavorful, it was not perfectly correct, it lacked a hint of sage.
