Sto Lat - Bowmansville

I was surprised to discover that I live so close to such an amazing restaurant that I have been missing out on! I stopped by yesterday for a light lunch and saw that they also offer brunch, so I decided to come back today. The atmosphere was excellent and the service was exceptional!

I tried the Taste of Poland and was quite disappointed. The Polish stew in a small dish lacked flavor and the Pierogi's were small and hard. The Pig in the Blanket was a decent size but made with pastry instead of traditional cabbage. It was not like the food my Polish grandma used to make with the recipe passed down from my Polish grandfather's mother. The Polish sausage was good and smoked, but the highlight of the meal was the unique horseradish with a kick. However, the Spicy Strawberry Margarita tasted more like cucumber due to the cucumber vodka used in it. Overall, this restaurant was a letdown and I won't be returning for more Polish food.

Cute atmosphere and good drinks. Service was definitely lacking. I have a gluten allergy which I mentioned to the server when we sat down and I asked about gluten free options. She then replied they're marked on the menu. Keep in mind, only 1 item wasmarked gluten free on a menu of about 20 things which is why I asked. I then asked about gluten free bread and she respondedthey have it (not sure why she didn't mention it). I was eyeing the burger so I asked if she could check if the tots were glutenfree so she went and asked and came back and said no. So I then followed up and asked if they have fries available or somethingto substitute the tots with that was gluten free. She then replied no. It was literally pulling teeth for her to help me figureout what to eat there with my allergy. I asked her if she could ask the Chef what I could do instead of tots and she repliedwith the brunch menu is limited so they don't have other things prepared. Not really willing to talk with the chef or beproactive about what I could have. I've worked in hospitality before and if someone told me they had an allergy, I'd work withthe kitchen to find out options for that person. I finally ordered a burger with gluten free bread and asked if home fries weregluten free (as they were on the menu) and she just wrote it down and I had to mention to please check with the Chef to makesure they are. My food came out and there was no mention if they were gluten free or not. Server seemed like she just couldn'tbe bothered with people who have questions about the menu. Not sure if she wasn't trained or new but highly recommend trainingher. Will not go back for brunch with their limited knowledge/ offerings.

Great food, service and a perfect atmosphere. It was a perfect relaxing Friday night. Drinks were on point as well!

The atmosphere at this restaurant is great and the cocktails are tasty, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The pierogies were tough and the roast beef sandwiches lacked flavor and were gray in color. We were really looking forward to dining here, but it was a let down. We're not sure how Sto Latcan claim to be authentic Polish. We wouldn't return.
