Windy's - Bowman

Had the chicken sandwich here on May 12, 2022. I think it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Owner was serving tables and was super friendly. If I'm ever there again I will gladly dine again at Windys.

We were traveling to North Dakota just for the day and needed lunch. We looked up our choices and chose Windy's. At first, things seemed a bit hectic with the staff as they were busy. We ordered pizza and i do have to say it was good. I was satisfied. FYI pizza is thin not a thicker hand tossed type. If i were back in town i would eat her again. Manager came out after things settle down to check on everyone.

Driving through Bowman and needed lunch. We walked into Windy's and asked if there was any outdoor seating since we are traveling with our dog. The really lovely lady working the counter, Cindy, offered to open up the spacious back patio for us so we could sit out there. Score! We ordered a pizza (we are vegetarians) and a couple pints of beer. It was cooked in a proper pizza oven and it was delicious. Really impressed by how crispy and cheesy the pizza was. Had a lot of flavor and was very filling. Highly recommend! Thanks Cindy for being so kind and friendly to us!

The food was expensive and the service very slow. Our steaks were not cooked to medium as requested, they were very well done. Appetizers did not come out before meal and side salad was mediocre. Our vegetable was cold. Service was so slow it took us almost 2 hours for our meal and a drink. They are friendly hard working staff but either very short staffed or need to learn how to keep the kitchen moving.

I was in town working on a project and decided to give Windy's a try. I ordered a Windy's Deluxe Za on 4.28.2020. First of all they delivered it to the Bowman Inn (very nice place) which was awesome. Second, it was one of the best Zas I've had in many, many years. Loved the thin, crispy crust. So good! I highly recommend this place.
