El Maguey Mexican - Bowling Green

That was a great experience. The food was plentiful in its selection and its part the food was perfect that Burrito came on a squirting hot plate that caught my complete and undivided attention as soon as I heard that squirting and I saw the cheese thick and creamy on the Burrito I was thrilled to expect a bite the waiter was a gentleman and he was very patient and understanding. There was a small toddler who celebrated his 5 bithday. A, wesome overalls.

I tried to eat something else every time I have a chance when I am in this area this time, I had the Enchiladas el magueya and a side of fried beans

Daughter and I stopped by after a morning of appointments and shopping and had a lovely lunch. Daughter had the Arroz con cameron y pollo, I had the carnitas street tacos and we both enjoyed some cheese dip with our chips and salsa to start. Our waiter had forgotten to include the salsa verde with my tacos, I ate the first dry and it was delicious! Adding the salsa verde with the two subsequent ones dipping like an au jus was off the hook! I added a splash of lime for my last one and somehow I got three different flavored tacos on one plate! While the waiter was quick to fix the issue, it actually transformed my meal into a better experience than it would have been, just pure serendipity. I finished up and my daughter was bursting at the seams from her dish, I tried hers and it was also amazing! The menu is new since my last excursion here, I'm looking forward to a repeat soon. #166

Service was slow, but the quality of the food was ok. I would?ve liked if the server interacted a little more, especially since they were not that busy

Our service was pretty good minus our server not knowing the menu or what had been 86'd, which was a lot of their menu items and drinks, but that's probably because COVID-19...at least their dining room was open!!! Would have got 5-stars if the food was better, my suggestion is to raise their prices slightly and buy higher quality ingredients or hire a bettee chef to run their kitchen. Just trying to help!!
