The chef grabbed frozen dumplings out of the freezer which was disappointing. I then waited 25 minutes for a serving of 4 dumplings. The filling was tasty but very minimal the sauce was underwhelming. The dish extremely expensive at $10 for a very tiny portion. I would definitely not return to this establishment.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We were a group of four who went to lunch at 1.15pm on a Friday. We ordered spring rolls, poached dumplings, pan fried dumplings, soup dumplings, king prawns with an add on of fried rice. The dumplings were all tasteless and our pan fried dumplings weren’t even fried they looked like they had just been dipped in oil. The king prawns were tiny and the coating was not yummy at all. The side of fried rice was a mix of overly salty rice and over cooked rubbery eggs. The service ladies were cold and rude. For the price you pay I would have rather chosen any other restaurant on King St to give my money to. Would not recommend.
There's fresh dumplings and then there are these wonderous balls of joy. Fresh, and a delightful flavour profile with depth. Had xiao long bao, har gow, spicy pork and Chinese cabbage, and pork and prawn pan fried. The pork and prawn were stunning. Crispy in the right places, but delicious and fresh and perfectly balanced in flavour. Absolutely recommend and I'd come here before a lot of other places. Personal preference but I'd love some additional heat/spice on the menu. Peach spring rolls well worth it!

I was excited for dumplings but it felt more like the place dumplings go to die than get eaten. The staff was nice and friendly but everything and I mean (DO NOT TOUCH) everything needs a good wipe down and a clean. I mistakenly touched the books in the back corner and created (what felt like) a snow storm of dust but that did help reduce the bar flies which were annoying us poor a mosquito at a BBQ. The food. Didn’t even bother to take a photograph of it. It was really disappointing. Size was great but everything felt a bit like home economics cooking not $20+ dishes. Overall a disappointing experience that we were ready to go and were told there was another dish to come out. Urgh, sat back down for further disappointments. Went to GYG after
