Bamboo Garden - Boutte

I've eaten here so many times couldn't even attempt to count .. one of the best mandarin chicken dish in the state. Restaurant always spotless even after a busy lunch . Service top notch , fast friendly owner and an incredible staff.

When they relayed my concerns to her, the owner claimed that shrimp are only deveined during dinner service and that it was my responsibility to ask whether the shrimp was deveined. I explained that it’s not common for customers to inquire about that, and that a good restaurant should be using properly deveined shrimp as a standard. Despite this, she refused to offer any credit for the shrimp. I even offered to pay for the meal minus the shrimp, as I couldn’t eat it, but she still refused to budge. She mentioned that she would be returning to the restaurant to speak with me. Unfortunately, I had to leave for work, so I called back later to discuss the matter again. During our call, the owner insisted that I should have asked about the shrimp, and she began to raise her voice at me, which was extremely unprofessional. I could only imagine how uncomfortable that must have been for anyone who heard her in the restaurant. I attempted to propose removing just the shrimp or the drinks from my bill, but she shot that down again. Upon mentioning that I would file a chargeback with my bank, she became even angrier, leading me to hang up. I will never return to this restaurant, and I feel sorry for the staff because they were understanding and tried to reason with her, recognizing that the shrimp was unappetizing. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, and if you do decide to go, make sure to specifically ask if the shrimp is deveined or you might end up with a meal that’s less than appetizing. It was very disappointing.

The portions here are enormous, and the food is delicious. I really enjoyed the steamed dumplings as an appetizer; they were flavorful and beautifully made. I ordered the Triple Delight, but I recommend skipping the rice because it’s too much to finish. The owner makes a point to check on your experience, and they often bring the food to your table themselves. I definitely plan to return!

Everything I've tried here has been excellent. The fried rice, Mandarin chicken, shrimp with mixed vegetables, the Princess white dish, and their soups are all delicious.

I ordered a plate with an egg roll, but when I bit into my egg roll there was a metal string from the kitchen that they use to scrub their dishes with inside of my egg roll. I politely returned my food. That really ruined my appetite.
