Ice Harvest - Bournemouth

This review is similar to my earlier one. The portion sizes seem a bit on the small side. The food seems to consist of typical, inexpensive supermarket items like burgers, sausages, bread rolls, and buns, all prepared and served at a substantial markup. It’s a solid business model, but unfortunately, the dining experience isn’t anything remarkable. Updated from my previous review on August 21, 2023.

I ordered a double hot dog and it turned out to be one of the most disappointing vegan sausages I've ever tasted, served in an incredibly cheap, tiny bread roll that would embarrass even discount stores. It came with just a dab of ketchup and mustard, plus a can of Coke, all for nearly five pounds. For that price, I could have gotten a McPlant meal instead, which I’d definitely choose next time. Adding fries would set me back another £4! The pricing on the menu seems all over the place. Maybe I just picked the wrong item, but given the wide range of choices they have, if they can make a hot dog this unappealing, I don't think I’ll be hurrying back anytime soon.

This is a wonderful restaurant with a friendly and accommodating staff. The food is fresh, delicious, and enjoyable. I can't wait to visit again!

Overtalkative owner, just constantly chatting while I ate. Food is tasty and very overpriced. Sadly the place could be a bit tidier and a tad cleaner. The menu contains some splendid pure fruit smoothies and they are gorgeous. I will not give more than three stars though. Thanks.

Such a gem on Bournemouth High Street! I loved everything and was also really special to meet the owner, had recently come back from Jordan and had brought dates from there which was added to my avocado and date milkshake which was delicious. For the main I opted for the five chicken and bacon wrap which was full of fresh vegetables, flavour was really good and had a side portion of chips, the best chips of my life I don’t know what he did to make them taste so good and he wouldn’t tell me either . A real treat and will definitely come back again when I’m next in Bournemouth.
