Dosa World - Bournemouth

Lovely food, although some small starter portions. And the wait… boy oh boy, what a wait. If you don’t mind your food coming out plate by plate, with a significant wait between then this place serves great food. If you want everyone to get their food together then this is not the place for you! The restaurant need to get more front of house staff, focus on the customers in the restaurant as opposed to all the takeaway orders and deliveroo drivers and serve a complete meal together a table at a time. Then it would be an absolute fantastic place to eat.

I just cannot agree with some of the detrimental comments more. The service was excellent. I noted that a lot of customers were of Mid Asian which is a sure sign that it’s good in my opinion. Excellent Dosa great atmosphere. Well done.

The food at this restaurant is outstanding. It's not your usual British Indian food. I felt like I was tasting authentic Indian flavors. The customers also seemed to be regulars, confirming the authenticity of the food. The staff were very accommodating and kind. The Dosas and mushroom pepper fry starter were particularly delicious.

The place could benefit with upgrading the atmosphere. The Masal Dosa with the chutneys was satisfactory.As for the Lamb Biryani !! Firstly it was NOT Lamb but Beef. Too spicy not aromatic. Definitely NOT a Biryani, more a Meat Pulao. An authentic Biryani is in layer of Meat and Rice, not a blend as it was served to us.We opted for a doggy bag and were charged 50p for the plastic container. Saw a variety of dishes served at the next table which did not look appealing . Happy to have the Dosa but not any on the menu.
