I have tried to try this restaurant because it has developed from wild standard. yesterday I ordered an salat for the takeout and reported to the restaurant bar.
I am a little surprised to see the review because I think that this is a great place to visit! beautiful atmosphere in a great location, delicious eating with.
We had a dinner of two and it was a nice experience. The cocktails were delicious. My steak was cooked clean and perfectly seasoned. 100% grass fed and weed ready. My friend had the gnocchi and it was amazing, especially with the meat tomato sauce. The interior of the restaurant is complicated rustic but modern. We love the historic red stone walls
We've dined at SALT for our anniversary dinner. Overall, we could no longer be satisfied. We sat in the basement (the room below where they often host events). It was quiet and cozy. Service: Our server MJ was fantastic! He was busy and professional, but we could get to know him and his interesting story that brought him to the USA and finally SALT. Do not hesitate to get involved to reduce the formality of the service. Beverages: You have a good choice of wine. We had Joseph Swan Pinot together with some cocktails. I'd say the cocktails are okay. Old Fashioned lacked the lubricated fruits and maraschino cherries that should be standard. I should have read the ingredient list before the order. The Manhattan was better. It had the appropriate mix of ingredients and contain the maraschino cherries. Appetizers: We chose the Harvest Salad and Steamed Mussels. The salad was fresh and filled. My wife said they enjoyed it. The muted shells were incredible! I traveled around the world for work, and that had to be in my Top 3 appetizers of all time. A beautiful balance of sweet and heat in sauce with well cooked shells. Put something on the crispy crostini, and you have an excellent and balanced dish. I'd come back here for this court. Entrée: I tried Tom's Tavern Burger. Candidly, I just chose it because it was named after the previous owner and was a signature court. While it was boiled to a proper medium wheel, I found it lack of texture and taste. It would have been much better with grilled onions or some other contrasting topping along with some salt or spice. Next time, I'll get a steak. Dessert: We ordered both the Apple Crisp and the Chocolate Tart on MJ's recommendation. Both were very good, but the tart really turned out. It reminded us of the tart in one of our favorite Italian restaurants. The taste was rich and the texture was right. It was paired with espresso ice cream and sea salt. Delicious! MJ and the SALT team helped make our anniversary great. Next time we're in Boulder.
