Lucile's Creole Cafe - Boulder

This is one of the best cafes I have ever been to. The food, coffee, and service were exceptional. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and our meal arrived within 10 minutes of placing our order. My wife and I tried the 'Shrimp and Grits' and the 'Cajun Breakfast,' along with a 'Famous Buttermilk Biscuit with Homemade Jam' and a half order of beignets. Everything was delicious, and my only regret is that I felt too full to try more. The homemade jam and beignets were especially delightful.

Really cool and unique atmosphere. The service was great and the food came out very quickly. We ordered quite a bit of food for breakfast and it was all so good. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good brunch spot in Boulder.

What stood out the most was the exceptional waitstaff. They were attentive and genuinely took the time to welcome and chat with us, which is quite rare. A special shoutout to Shaena, who waited on my table! The only small recommendation I would make is to offer a stronger coffee. I can't wait to bring my wife back!

Came here originally hoping to take two orders of the beignets out. Unfortunately the hostess said that the kitchen was overwhelmed and the only way to try the beignets was to wait to dine-in. We were motivated and did just that. Well, as you can imagine, after a twenty minute wait we were ready to eat lunch and the beignets for dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing! The beignets were out of this world, but so were the other parts of our meal. I got the Eggs Jennifer which was a benedict with avocado. My dining partner got the Carlin Country with a side of bananas and cream. Both meals were huge, leaving us both very full. Service was great, and even though it was very busy, the quality of food was high. I recommend this place to anyone visiting/living in Boulder!

Lucile's Creole Cafe is a longtime favorite. For the last two decades this has been my go-to place in Boulder for a slightly out of the ordinary breakfast. Their dishes and menu has stood the test of time, however the quality of seafood and portion size has not. I was a bit disappointed the last time I ordered shrimp dish to only receive three small shrimp. This could be a supply chain thing, or a result of the pandemic oh, so I will be back!
