California Pizza Kitchen At 29th Street

I was served by Michelle on her first day. She did a phenomenal job of keeping me happy and making me laugh throughout the meal. Eating alone, I enjoy a very personable host and she definitely met the bill. I ate a couple appetizers and the fried mac cheese, all of it was great. I then went on to a butter cake Michelle suggested and it was definitely one of the best desserts I've had. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great as well. It would be a good place for a family dinner or you can have a great time with friends. It has the bar/busy restaurant background noise so you don't feel bad about laughing loudly at your table making it a very comfortable place to eat. I should also point out it also isn't too loud to hear anybody. I had no problem hearing and talking to my host. Pro-tip: If you can, see if you can be served by Michelle, she offers great food tips and she's a great host.

Great experiences at other locations, but I had such a bad experience I thought I should warn others. Walked in with a party of 5 and a baby. Host, and staff did a terrible job. After being seated we order drinks from the bar and food. Our drinks came out about 20 minutes late, and it was apparent that they had been sitting at the bar for a good while. Our food came out 40min-1hour after ordering. One of the meals came missing the sauce (noodles) so they brought out a shrimp Alfredo with no sauce. We let them know, it gets remade. One minute after receiving the correct dish the host comes and ask if we need a to-go box, essentially kicking us out (her demeanor). The person who appeared to be in charge was not wearing uniform and sagging his pants. I used the restroom and a food employee walks out of a stall and doesn’t wash his hands. Overall very bad experience tonight. When I arrived to the restaurant they were very staffed and not very busy. Employees seemed very stressed, uneasy, and really everyone was running around like a chicken with their head cut off. For the price we expected much better service.

On a Sunday afternoon to this Boulder restaurant chain location. Maybe it was the snow-covered/slushy day, but the restaurant was about 25% full, and the three of us sat immediately. Friendly waiting staff took our order, but it took about 20-25 minutes until our food reached the table. The food (lunch menu pizza x 2, sandwich, salads, etc.) was very tasty and the perfect part as we did not need the full-on-dinner size portions. The prices were also reasonable. Even taken home two, $5-dollar Take-And-Bake Pizzas (Lunch Menu Entrees are still counted as Entrees, which is much when considering most of the pizzas on the menu are $15-18 everyone. Many parking spaces in adjacent and nearby parking spaces, although the places are shared with other companies. Overall a beautiful place for the family to eat and relax.

Fast pizza lunch with flair and style. It is great to see all the support here in Boulder and California Pizza Kitchen, has a light welcoming atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful with many suggestions. The lunch menu is very inclusive and affordable. The Bbq chicken pizza is a fun twist and comes hot. With the perfect ratio of sauce to cheese and a crust that usually frame the beats, it is the choice that I would recommend.

Fantastic food and great staff, very nice atmosphere here. Today I ordered the Jerk Chicken Pizza and a bianco Flatbread appetizer. The bianco was amazingly fluffy and tasty with the whipped truffle cream and Gorgonzola cheese. Very natural and potent sage leaves on each disc. It is a wonderful appetizer, it will definitely be the next time. Now for the pizza. That was the best pizza I had for a long time. Great taste. I immediately loved the Caribbean sauce, just the right amount of sweet and spicy taste. The authentic Jamaican spices added enormously to the aromas. The apple wood smoked bacon in the pizza gave a pleasant surprise smokey, crispy, and chewing taste. There are also red onions, paprika and scalions. That was a great decision to get this pizza. I even had leftovers. Excellent meal, will be back for more. Thanks to the CPK Boulder team.
