It's a true, small town country pub!So it definitely had -1. Very generous portions in each meal. (Steak sandwich so good, I had two. Lamb shanks in great gravy you will lick the plate. Battered fish like the good old days)2. An adequate selection of beers (but you're not there for posh beer choices, really)3. Friendly staff.4. Photos of the Hotel going back to 1860! How COOL! But it's older than that....5. A small quirky public bar filled with odds ends (football trophies, stuffed Fox wearing sunglasses, old newspapers etc)These are the establishments we MUST preserve. We must continue to frequent.
Best lunch so far this trip, huge. Service was exceptional beer was cold.
Can't go wrong. Amazing food, great service and spot on atmosphere. Worth a visit on the way through or to exclusively go there. Porterhouse steak is amazing
