Scampo At The Liberty - Boston

Dining at Scampo is always a wonderful experience; each dish is both a delightful surprise and a great conversation starter.

The food was terrible and wildly overpriced. The $180 Wagyu steak was over-salted and undercooked. You really shouldn’t be able to mess up a Wagyu steak. I don’t usually write reviews, but I strongly advise against Scampo. I frequently stay at the hotel and the concierge recommended it, but there are much better dining options for less money. I suggest trying any Italian restaurant in the North End or Yvonne’s. Just avoid Scampo.

I enjoyed some delicious Italian cuisine in a fantastic setting on the lower level of the Liberty Hotel. I happened to dine there just a few days after returning from Italy, and I can honestly say the food was just as good!

The whole meal was fantastic, starting with the breadsticks with pesto, calamari, and swordfish and taglietelli with rabbit polpetti! The cream sauce on the swordfish was to die for!

This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in Boston. The service was excellent, and the food was fresh and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Tiramisu and the lamb pizza.
