Modern Underground is incredible! I had the best espresso and pistachio martini in Boston, hands down. Maria was a delight and extremely attentive. I can’t wait to return!

This is a hidden gem of an underground bar located beneath a contemporary pastry shop. Their menu features classic bar fare alongside some Italian pasta options. While the food was decent, it didn't blow me away; however, the martinis were fantastic. The espresso martini was both sweet and strong, and I was pleasantly surprised by the banana bread martini—it tasted just like banana bread and was truly delightful. Despite the food being just average, the concept of a restaurant beneath a bakery is really unique and enjoyable.

I truly don’t know how to express my gratitude. The best way I can show my appreciation is by recommending Mrs. Carolina Johnson to others so they can see why she is trustworthy.
