Five Horses Tavern South End - Boston

We visited this restaurant for dinner and had a pleasant experience with our meals. The menu offers a decent variety of choices, although nothing particularly exciting or unique. Nevertheless, the food was good, and it’s likely that everyone in a group will find something they enjoy. Personally, I favor this place for breakfast or brunch. The donuts are a delightful way to start, and the mimosa flight is a must-try. Overall, we had a great time, and our waiter was attentive and courteous.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! I visited for brunch and it exceeded my expectations. First, the service was fantastic—kudos to the entire staff for ensuring we had a wonderful time. Next, the food was exceptional. The mimosa flight was perfect, and both the apple cinnamon donuts and our main breakfast dishes were also superb. Everything tasted as great as it looked. We’ll definitely be adding this place to our list for our next trip to the city. Plus, it's conveniently located just a short walk from the Prudential Center.

What a fantastic surprise during my visit to Boston! The selection of craft beer on tap and in bottles is amazing. The menu is diverse and creatively crafted. The service is excellent, and they even offer outdoor seating.

Very enjoyable place with a bomb draft beer selection! Honestly, it's one of the best selections in the city and the bartender was very nice and helpful. I had the hummus which was ok, although it came with a ton of veggies and pita. Also got a side of tots which were delicious. Everyone near me eating seemed to be enjoying their meals. It was a great spot to do some work too! Check out all those beers on draft in the picture attached.

Five Horses Columbus St. On my last day in Boston, we decided to check out Five Horses. Upon entering, they gave a chilly welcome. The waiter, who obviously wasn?t trained properly nor did he know the menu, was slow, awkward, confused and basically did not have a good demeanor for a waiter. We had to as several times for items for our food. He never asked if we wanted beverages or more water. He didn?t even clear our table of our appetizer. Once our entrées came, he placed my food on the other table, walked away to get an item that he forgot. It took a few minutes to come back. He then provided my cousin their food. We both were very disappointed with the look AND taste of both dishes!! Now, my wings were good; however, the baked macaroni and cheese was running, bland, and lukewarm. The jalapeño cheddar cheese mashed potatoes looked like tarter sauce!. Keep in mind, during our entire time, we were never asked if we needed or wanted anything! Because of the atmosphere and the food, we didn?t stay long. We had to ask for boxes and our check. Even that took awhile! At that time, they were holding a team meeting, so the manager told our waiter to join the meeting. After a few minutes, the manager finally gave use our boxes and checks. Ridiculous. Overpriced. Poor Customer. If I ever visit Boston again, I will stay far away from Five Horses? I advise you do the same!!
