After all these years, I wanted to take my daughter there to see how it had changed. To my surprise, the décor has remained largely the same as I remember, although the restaurant was much busier now, which I had anticipated. The server we had was very friendly and accommodating. While the noise level was on the higher side, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I'm sure that people in the neighborhood would appreciate having an elevated Mexican dining option nearby.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. Our waiter was attentive and provided excellent recommendations. The dishes were fresh, hot, and full of flavor. I highly recommend trying the ghost pepper tequila margarita!
Are you kidding me? The issue isn't the food; it's the drinks. I paid $17 for a margarita that was basically just a glass full of ice with hardly any liquid and almost no tequila—barely a couple of sips! Honestly, don't order mixed drinks if you come here; it's such a waste of money. The bartender should be replaced. I feel betrayed, especially since we've been loyal customers at Casa Romero for over twenty years. I can't recommend this place.
Best food, good drinks, great Selena soundtrack playing in the background. Not too hard to find, but fun little entrance in a public alley.
Wait staff awesome. Food solid, but at Mexican restaurant would expect chips and salsa included. Also, for the ambiance
