Bulfinch Social - Boston

I was disappointed during my recent visit to the restaurant. There was no chef present, which I hadn't been informed about on their website or when I made my reservation through OpenTable. The restaurant also lacked any signage indicating that they were not cooking or had a limited menu. This was particularly frustrating for me as I was on a tight schedule due to a sporting event. I'm not sure if I'll return, as effective communication seems to be an issue for them.

The poor bartender was taxed beyond their ability and honestly none of them was worth half what we paid.

There was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, along with a cook and a bartender. It's unfortunate that there seems to be a lack of workers in this industry. It took an astonishing one hour and forty-five minutes to receive three salads and a flatbread. When the flatbread finally arrived, it had a hair in it and was soggy. I won't be returning.

The calamari, fish tacos, chicken wings, kale salad with salmon, and Brown Derby were all delicious! Portion sizes were neither too big or small to share among 3 people. It was nice and quiet, and the service was great. Perfect place to get your money’s worth of food/drink before visiting TD Garden.

The woman at the bar was also serving food, and she did an excellent job. The only reason I rated the restaurant 3 stars is that she could really use some assistance. I would give her 10 stars for all the hard work she put in running around. Hats off to her!
