Bell In Hand Tavern - Boston

I was eager to try this historic pub, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. I ordered the grilled salmon bowl, which sounded delightful on the menu. However, the salmon tasted and appeared as if it had been sitting around for three days and had a smell reminiscent of an old fridge. The quinoa seemed canned rather than freshly cooked, and it was accompanied by some wilted spinach and other unrecognizable vegetables. Ultimately, I couldn’t finish it. The waiter didn’t return to check on our meal, and when she finally did ask how it was, I shared my experience with her. She glanced at my barely touched dish and apologized, but didn’t offer to remove it from the bill. The reason I gave this place three stars is that my son enjoyed his chicken tenders, and my daughter's quesadillas were good as well. My husband’s sliders were decent but could definitely use improvement. I don’t plan on returning.

This is a historic restaurant, and while the lobster was a bit tougher than I prefer, I would still recommend checking it out.

Decent place. Cool because of the history but I'm not sure I understand the loud hip-hop music being played in the restaurant. Also they charge for extra dipping sauce for some reason which is fine but they don't tell you upfront.

Fast friendly service. The spicy lobster roll was so good!
