Southwest Grill - Bosque Farms

I discovered this place while heading to Albuquerque, and if it weren't for the eye-catching sign, I would have driven right past it. I'm so glad I didn't! I had no idea there were so many flavors of chicharrones (deep-fried pork rinds) available. The taste took me back to the Matanza barbecues I enjoyed as a child. I'm from California, but whenever I visit my roots in New Mexico, I’ll make a special trip to get this product—even if I have to cross the entire state to do so!

I really enjoy this restaurant; the cuisine is incredibly authentic. I don't think anyone will be disappointed. However, the menu posted here seems to be from a different restaurant. The Southwest Grill in Bosque Farms is definitely not as pretentious as this menu suggests! Nevertheless, the food is still excellent.

I came across this restaurant while on my way to Albuquerque, and I'm so glad I did! If it weren't for their eye-catching sign, I would have driven right past. I had no idea they offered such a wide variety of chicharrones (deep-fried pork). The flavors brought back memories of the old days at the Matanza BBQs I attended as a child. I'm from California, but whenever I visit my roots in New Mexico, I make a point to stock up on this delicious treat, even if it means going out of my way on the other side of the state!

The best chicharon around! Carne adovada is great also. Actually all the food is awesome. Great prices and good portions.

I absolutely love the Chicharrones burritos! The Chile Rellenos are fantastic as well, with a really great flavor and served hot.
