I live in the area but hadn't come to Jimmy's since they rebranded some time ago from Alstarz Sports Bar. The place is absolutely enormous and despite the packed parking lot, we were seated immediately in a large side dining room which has a second full sized bar. We had plenty of space and it was nice to not be in a crowded area. Service was great. She was busy but we always knew she hadn't lost track of us. We ordered the blackened chicken sandwich and the steak blue salad. Food was very good and overall experience assured that we'll be back again soon.
The food is okay. It's not amazing, but it's not the worst. It is expensive though. The service didn't impress me. The place looks nice.
We visited last night for the Super Bowl with a group of eight adults and two high chairs. Our server was outstanding, ensuring accurate orders and checking in on us regularly. We chose items from the happy hour menu, including flatbreads, wings, hummus, and nachos, and everything was delicious. The drinks were also enjoyable, except for the watermelon mojito. We will definitely be returning!
Where to start... Jimmy's is overall pretty good. Big place, decent menu, not a bad beer and drink list. I do feel it is a bit overpriced for what it is in the area that it is in, however, that tends to keep rif raf out. Service I feel is slow, especially when busy, but last time a manager, as they should, jumped behind the bar to help. Not so much a knock on the servers because these days it seems no place has enough people to work. We do work happy hours here frequently. Mediterranean Flatbread I had last time was really good. Worth a stop
Just dropped $250 plus a tip for a surprise birthday party for my wife. The big 7 ohhh. The service was awesome and I left a $50 tip. The food was hot and tasty. Plenty to eat and a good time was had by all. So why only two stars? Seems this place has a really stupid policy about bringing your own dessert. They don 't have individual cakes so you either have to buy a dessert or pay them $3 per person if you bring your own. My daughter brought cupcakes and she was told that a service charge would be added if she brought them to the table. Absolutely ridiculous. There were 11 of us so they would add $33 to our bill. So my daughter left the cupcakes out front and gave our grandkids some to take home. When I questioned the manager, he told me the rule came from higher up. Well higher up . Your policy sucks and we will think twice about Jimmy 's in the future. I hope others see this and think twice as well. Hope your greed costs you more than the $33 you tried to rip us off for.
