Mine Oyster - Boothbay Harbor

This was our first trip to Maine, and I wanted to dine at the best restaurants during the weekend. I was particularly excited about this place, so I saved it for our last night. We were immediately struck by the lively atmosphere. The hostess greeted us outside with a warm smile, setting a positive tone for the evening. It only got better from there. I can't remember his name, but the gentleman who welcomed us next and took our drink orders was incredibly upbeat and thrilled when I mentioned I wanted to try the Rohaustern for the first time. He ensured I got the most perfect oysters, and he did an outstanding job—I absolutely loved them. Our waitress was phenomenal: friendly and attentive, making sure we felt well taken care of. Every staff member we encountered was committed to ensuring we had a wonderful experience, whether they were directly serving us or not. My husband ordered the wood-fired lobster and declared it the best he’s ever had, and that's saying a lot since he enjoyed lobster at every meal this weekend. Unfortunately, I don't think he'll ever be able to order lobster in New York again; the standards have been set too high. I had the black fish tacos, which were exactly what I craved—perfectly spiced and full of flavor. We finished with chocolate cake for our anniversary dessert. I would gladly make another 9-hour trip just to eat at this restaurant!

I had a lovely lunch at Mine Oyster. I started with oysters as an appetizer, followed by a dish featuring shark and wood-grilled scallops, both of which were delicious. My server, Cinnamon, was incredibly friendly. I chose to sit outside, which offered a great view of the port. I look forward to coming back!

I had an excellent lunch at Mine Oyster today. Without a doubt, it’s the best pastrami sandwich I've had outside of NYC. The fries were thick, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. If you've been there before and tried the clam chowder, you'll find it even better now thanks to a new recipe tweak. To top it all off, my waitress suggested her truffle fries, which I hadn't tried before, and she brought me a cup of her truffle mayo. It was fantastic!

Great atmosphere. Beautiful area to dine and drink. Also available pool tables and darts. I had her Lobster Mac.

How fresh is the sushi at mine oyster? How about fresh off the boat! Check photos for a fresh caught bluefin tuna being cut up right outside the restaurant! Great food. Several different bar and dining areas create a different experience in each part of the restaurant. Great view and atmosphere at the back-bar and out on the deck. Awesome place for live music on weekends.
